I just ask the students to add their own logo and boarder. Then they just add in the work to the relevant skill page. This may seem simple but is saved me a lot of time in getting students to create 8 pages for the 8 skills.

This book is to track students progress over unit 1 and to provided them with a check list for the evidence they need to prove for each skill in the unit.

In preparation for the new materials technology award I've created a skill evidence guide to enable students to understand what evidence they need to include for each skill in unit one. The evidence guide also includes a skill tracker across the four projects. This is an updated version with the changes to the specification.

This is an updated version. I have created this guide so my students know exactly what to record to get marks for the 12 skills in unit 1. Each page gives a breakdown of what they need to do to record each skill and I have also included the assessment criteria from the exam board for each skill. Along with an overview sheet at the end of the booklet. The booklet provides space for teacher, self and peer assessment.

The thinking hats with coloured hat fashion illustrations to match the hat.

My students loved these visual sheets to help with colour/design selection in practicals and creating imaginative designs. I printed them on A3 double-sided. With one side the coloured images and the other side with either the line drawings or the colour palettes. Used in lesson observations and was complimented on the quality of the resource.

This is the power point I am currently using for the new Materials Technical Award from AQA. It included assessment criteria and a modelled example of how students can use the practical log book that I have created, which can also be found on my TES shop. I recently had a formal observation with this lesson and did really well.
